Northwest of Missoula, indicating direction of glacial lake Missoula as it flooded around Rocky Mountains. (The floods happened at least 40 times, meaning there are that many lake level lines observable on Mt. Sentinel to this day.

Bitterroot creek, then river as it descends from the southern wall of Lake Missoula. (River boulders are actually gravel that Missoula County Road Commission uses in winter for rural roads.)

Double railroad tunnel (removable) and Smokejumpers school and HQ as it was in the 1960s with DC-3 airplane.

My handmade ponderosa pine trees over the tunnel.

Hellgate canyon and Clark Fork River coming from the East. Madison bridge, native grasses and flowers in a foot path area, handmade foot bridge, and billboards announcing 1,631 miles to the National Music Camp at Interlochen (where I taught piano for 46 years!).

Courthouse where I received my driver license at age 14!

Clark Fork River, downtown, and train station.

Hellgate High School, Roxy theater, and park.

The University of Montana, Liberal Arts Building where my father was Dean of the department, Psychology and Geology buildings, and central campus “oval”. Administration Building (which is a styrene kit of the 19th century Victorian style train station in Cincinnati). Looks identical to the university’s main hall. My piano teacher’s home is on far right.

Other view of my teacher’s home and university campus.

Home of the Montana Grizzlies football team. As teenagers, we used to watch games from Mt. Sentinel. The current stadium is no longer at this location.
Here’s a gallery of other photos that Michael provided.
