We won’t be having our traditional in-person monthly meeting in May due to the 2026 Spring Open House event happening the day before the election meeting.
Election and Nominations
Would you like to help the NMRA? Would you like to be part of a group of contributing and enthusiastic NMRA members and model railroaders? If so, I’d like to invite you to consider becoming more active in our division and be a part of an incredible team of NMRA model railroaders. Please consider being a nominee for one of several positions that are available.
Nominations
Please send your nominations to our Nominating Committee if you wish to run for any of the following offices prior to April 26, 2026.

The open positions are described below.
Chief Clerk (Secretary)
- Incumbent: Keith Aleo has agreed to serve another two year term if elected.
- Other nominees?
Responsibilities
- The Chief Clerk serves a two (2) year term and stands for election in even years.
- The Chief Clerk will take and distribute meeting minutes.
- Note that this responsibility is largely eliminated by the automatic summary/meeting-notes feature built into our Zoom meeting platform.
- The Chief Clerk will maintain the archive of all official records for the Division as described in the Division 2 ByLaws.
- The Chief Clerk is responsible for notifying all Division members about all Division activities and such Region and NMRA activities as are deemed appropriate.
- The Chief Clerk will maintain the official membership roster of the Division.
- The Chief Clerk may serve on any committee.
Paymaster – (Treasurer)
- Incumbent: David Zolnierek has agreed to serve another two year term if elected.

Responsibilities
- The Paymaster serves a two (2) year term and stands for election on even years.
- The Paymaster will oversee the financial business of the Division, which includes but is not limited to; collection and distribution of monies as approved by the Division Board of Directors (see Article IV, Sections 5-6).
- The Paymaster is responsible for filing all financial reporting paperwork as required by law with Municipal, State and Federal agencies.
- The Paymaster is responsible for filing the federal 501(c)(3) paperwork and maintaining that status once granted.
- The Paymaster may serve on any committee except the Audit Committee.
Trainmaster – (Director at Large)
Currently there is one Trainmaster for the Division. The Division Board of Directors may choose to alter this if additional Yards / Yardmasters are identified in the future.
- Al Johnson is term limited and has retired from this position, so no incumbent, nominees needed
Responsibilities
- Trainmasters serve a two (2) year term and stand for election on even years.
- Trainmasters serve as representatives at large on behalf of the Division membership.
- Trainmasters will perform any duties assigned by the Superintendent. (Currently serving as our Ambassador, sending welcome letters to new members and pursuing Members that are delinquent with their dues).
- Trainmasters may serve on any committee.
